Job Summary

The Department of Sociology seeks qualified individuals to teach sections of the following Sociology course in the fall of 2023 (September 5-December 15, 2023).
  • SOCI 241: Health, Illness, and Society - Emphasizes social determinants of physical and mental health and cross-cultural experiences of illness and seeking care. Pays special attention to the unequal distribution of health and illness in the U.S, the role of culture in our understandings of health and illness, and the social organization of health care.


Classes will be held in-person. The instructor is expected to be available for one office hour per week; office hours can be in person or virtual.

Requirements
  • MA or PhD
  • Prior undergraduate-level teaching experience
